Welcome!

Hi. I’m Jean Wilund, a former frustrated Bible reader turned geeky Bible lover, passionate about sharing the life-changing truths of God’s Word whether I’m writing, speaking, or teaching.

I’m convinced we’ll never really know and love the God of the Word until we know and love the Word of God.

And yet, the Bible can be intimidating. This fact is why I love sharing helpful insights, tips, and resources to make our journey into studying the Bible easier and fun.

In 2023, Our Daily Bread Publishing released my first Bible study, Embracing Joy: An 8-Week Transformational Bible Study of Habakkuk

In August 2024, LifeWay is releasing a resource I wrote for those who want to understand how to read the Bible. My prayer is Ease into the Bible: How to Wade into God’s Word with Confidence will be an exciting resource for adults and teens.

Coming in 2025 is a Bible study I’m thrilled to be writing for Our Daily Bread with the working title: how to study the Bible for transformation using the Gospel of Mark. You’ll learn important Bible study techniques and the Transformational Bible Study method I introduced in Embracing Joy.

In 2024, I launched my podcast It’s All About Him! I also have a YouTube channel.

I am a regular contributor for Revive Our Hearts, a ministry committed to helping women experience freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness in Christ.

In all my writing and speaking, my goal is to help you discover the truth that the Bible is more exciting than you ever imagined and studying it is a joy and adventure. And life-changing.

God’s Word always does its perfect work. Rather than conquering God’s Word, I want to encourage us to let God’s Word conquer us—and transform us.

Subscribe and join me on this exciting journey into God’s Word.

If you’d like a glimpse into who Jean Wilund is, here are some lesser-known tidbits:

Larry and Jean Wilund

● I wrote my first book in elementary school—a cartoon book I stapled together. It was three pages long, including the cover.

● I still haven’t gotten over flushing my favorite smiley face watch down the toilet when I was six-years-old.

● I’ve lived in Germany and Italy. Also Georgia and South Carolina. I can speak German, but not Italian. I definitely speak Southern.

● I cry at everything, even fabric softener commercials. My nose turns red when I cry. Great!

● My sister Melissa talked for me when I was young because I was so shy. I liked drama in high school because my characters could talk for me. No one believes I’m still shy, but I am.

● I adore my family. And coffee. I love my family more, but it’s kinda close.

● My journey into blogging and the writer’s world began when one of my best friends opened a day school. I led chapel and wrote retellings of Bible stories to show the children Jesus throughout the Old Testament. I discovered I was a terrible writer, so I went to a writers conference. My stories got better. (I think.)

● I was around 35 years old when I first read the Bible in its entirety. I’d been a Christian for at least 20 years. What was I waiting for? I read the whole Bible desperate for what I could learn about God and His character on every page. As I read, my relationship with God dramatically changed and my life was never the same. Hmmm. I wonder if there could be a connection?

● Every time I finish the Bible, I start over again. I’ll do this until the day He calls me home.

I’m the youngest of four children and the one in the photo who can’t seem to find her mouth with the icicle. Don’t I have a lovely family!

God has blessed Larry and I with the most wonderful family—a handsome son and three beautiful daughters (One by marriage.)
