God’s Word is the main way He’s chosen to reveal Himself to us, but knowing how to study the Bible effectively isn’t woven into our DNA at salvation. It’s a skill we must develop.
For many years, I did the best I knew how to read and study Scripture, but I struggled. I never felt like I was gaining much ground in becoming more like Christ.
The Christian life seemed too hard and Bible study seemed wearisome, not refreshing. Not transformational.
But then I learned a better way to study the Bible—a way that helped me see God more clearly. From Genesis to Revelation, I began to see God as He truly is—as He reveals Himself in His Word.
Seeing the Lord more clearly changed me forever and created in me an unwavering passion for studying the Bible.
