What God Begins, He Finishes
Do you finish everything you start?
God does. What He begins, He finishes.
From that moment in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve’s crunch of rebellion sounded around the world, all of heaven and earth longed to hear these three words spoken.
Through these three words Jesus cried out on the cross, Christ expressed the three words every person longs to hear.
Jesus accomplished everything we need for salvation.
We didn’t help Him. We couldn’t if we wanted to. There’s nothing we can do to earn our salvation because we’re dead in our sins. And dead people can’t do anything.
God’s Spirit has to make us alive and do the work in our hearts to bring us to salvation. It’s a work of God alone.
If you feel even a prick of God’s Spirit drawing you to Himself, respond. Come to Him.
Begin.
Begin to read the Bible. To pray. To respond to God’s pull on your heart.
God will complete the work in you just as Jesus completed the work on the cross for us.
“It is finished!” Amen!
This has been so inspiring. Thank you, Jean.
Btw love the colors you have been wearing. They remind me of God’s creation and the beauty he has given us. Because of this virus we can’t be around people(and you know that is hard for this type A) at least we have been able to get outside and enjoy God’s creation. Hallelujah!
Thank you so much, Donna. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the messages. And the colors. YOu know I do love color! And God’s gorgeous creation. If we have to be quarantined, I’m glad it’s at a time of year when we can truly enjoy the beautiful outdoors (if we can handle the pollen. LOL). Happy Resurrection Day, dear friend!
