View unforgetable music video "We Will Not Forget" by Mark Harris & Interview w/ Jim Caviezel on filming The Passion of the Christ

My son Bobby met a war hero.

We will not forget. We must not forget.

Bobby spent almost an hour talking with a man who’d fought on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day and at the Battle of the Bulge.

Bobby held this hero’s medal and marveled at the stories he shared of landing on the beaches of Normandy.

He told of working his way off the front of the landing craft and through the surf as the Germans shattered his fellow soldiers behind him.

And he talked of being shot seven times — three times on D-Day and four in the Battle of the Bulge.

We will not forget. We must not forget.

During the Battle of the Bulge, enemy fire had left a gaping hole in his leg, so he hunkered down in a foxhole with a friend.

The searing pain of fire ants gnawing into his wound urged him back out only to be shot again.

A bullet ricocheted off a bone in his arm and landed in his head.

His friend took a shot directly to the head and miraculously survived.

These two soldiers fought together for each other, for their country, and for freedom.

We will not forget. We must not forget.

I asked Bobby what stood out in his mind from his time meeting this great man.

He told me he’ll never forget the man’s refusal to see himself as a hero. But most of all, he’ll never forget when he said, “I’d do it all again.”

We will not forget. We must not forget.

Last summer Larry and I had the distinct honor to meet a WWII hero as well.

Watch this incredible music video We Will Not Forget by Mark Harris.

The footage is amazing. And what a message.

Then watch the equally amazing interview with actor Jim Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus Christ in the movie The Passion of the Christ.

You’re gonna need a large cup of coffee and some time for Jim Caviezel’s interview, but you’ll be glad you did.

The music video is short, but powerful.

While you’re watching, pray.

Pray for our soldiers who are serving today.

Thank God for all those who bought our freedom with their lives.

Thank Him for the countless others who’ve fought for freedom since.

And thank Him, most of all, for His Son Jesus Christ, who bought our eternal freedom with His blood.

Jim Caviezel isn’t a war hero.

He never served on any battle lines.

But he did take on the role of the greatest hero ever to live or die — and live again.

Jim played the part of Jesus in the movie The Passion of the Christ.

Listen to Jim describe the deeply moving experience of portraying Christ as He took on the sins of the whole world.

In the lashing scene, one of the Roman soldier actors actually slashed his side.

When they hung Jim on the cross, his shoulder separated. He left it that way.

On the final day of the shoot, lightening struck him as he hung on the cross.

Jim shares much more than movie memories.

He delivers a powerful message about freedom we all need to hear.

Freedom isn’t free. It was bought by blood — priceless blood.

Every American generation needs to know that freedom exists, not to do what you like, but having the right to do what you ought. — Jim Caviezel

We will never forget. We must never forget.
