Dear Lord,

I’m asking You to protect my loved on by helping him make wise decisions. I know at times he has to make split-second decisions — life-and-death decisions. Please give him the information he needs to choose wisely. I know he’s exhausted and tired of the situation he’s in. Don’t let him make decisions that will harm him or those around him.

I also know he’s far from home, and there are many temptations surrounding him. I ask that You give him the strength to resist the things that would harm him. Show him clearly the consequences of poor choices. Make his path clear, and put people around him to make choosing wisely easier.

Surround him with buddies who will support his good choices and point out his poor ones. Give him the friends he needs for this specific situation. No one knows what can happen when we choose one thing over another, but You do know. Let him hear You clearly as he decides what actions to take. Most of all protect him, even when he chooses poorly. Keep him in Your perfect care.

– Amen.
