Four Ways Christmas Candy Points to Christ

Candy is sweet–and even sweeter when it has meaning.

512395_General Call it rationalization so I can feel good about savoring Christmas chocolates all season if I want–I’m fine with that.

Children are fine with it, too.

Why not take this opportunity to teach our children four ways that Christmas candy points to Christ and what He’s done for us while they enjoy a treat?

Don’t Try To Stop Me ~ I Gotta Dance!

While it might not be a pretty sight, there are times in life when I just gotta dance!

Today is one of those times.

Bobby & Kaitlyn Engaged

Yes, I’m shouting and dancing! I’m thrilled down to my twirling toes!

“He who finds a wife finds a good thing,

and obtains favor from the Lord.”

~ Proverbs 18:22

On December 4th my son, Bobby, proposed to his girlfriend Kaitlyn,

and she said, “Yes!”

I remember the first time he told me about Kaitlyn. She’d captivated him, but there was a small problem—ok, big problem—she had a boyfriend. Bobby chose to respectfully embrace her as just a good friend. He wasn’t happy about it, but it was the right thing to do, and he was just glad to at least have her as a close friend.

Well, good things come to those who wait, right?

Two years later their lives had changed, and the time was now right.

God’s timing is always right.

God knew the perfect moment to bring them together.

Those two years weren’t wasted. God was at work in their lives preparing them for each other.

God uses every moment of our lives to bring us to where He wants us to be.

Do you have a dream that seems to be slipping through your fingers? Trust God with it. Move forward in hope and faith. God knows exactly what to do with your dream. He’s always good, and His ways are always best.

As you walk in faith and trust in God, you’ll soon find yourself dancing a jig, too!

Now I’m off to dance some more!!
